If you have a child that wants to learn violin and they are between the ages of 6 and 8, unless they are tall for their age, then usually the 1/4 size is the right violin to start with. Please check with your violin teacher before buying deciding that the quarter size is right for your children or not.

The 1/4 size violin is a popular size amongst young children. It is very important to buy the correct size violin because if you buy a size that is too big, it is a strain on the student and may discourage them in learning if they are finding playing is too uncomfortable.
