Dear parents and students. Due to personal circumstances, our guitar teacher George Karaspiros will no longer be teaching in our school.
Our principal guitar teacher ‘Tamazi Sikharulidze’, who has been with the ALL Talents Music School for over two years, will be taking over George’s lessons from this Saturday 1st of April 2006. (No, this is not an April fool!). We hope that you will enjoy your lessons with Tamazi as much as you did with George.
If you have any questions then please feel free to speak with me anytime.
Yours truly,
Marta Malinowska (Principal teacher)

Dear students.
ALL Talents Music School are introducing optional music theory lessons for students that wish to learn the theory of music in more depth. Theory lessons will be taught in groups, and students will have the opportunity to learn areas of music theory that are not covered in their normal instrumental lessons.
What is music theory?
Music theory describes the elements of music and includes the development and application of methods for analyzing and composing music, and the interrelationship between the notation of music and performance practice.
Musicians study music theory in order to be able to understand the relationships that a composer or songwriter expects to be understood in the notation, and composers study music theory in order to be able to understand how to produce effects and to structure their own works. Composers may study music theory in order to guide their precompositional and compositional decisions.
What is on the agenda? Music composition – learn how to write your own music. Harmony – learn how to build chords. Improvisation – Learn how to play your own music from basic chord sequences. Theory – learn about music notation, pitch, rhythm, scales, dynamics, transposition etc.
How much are the lessons? The cost of music theory lessons is £5 for 1 hour. We have tried to keep the cost of theory lessons down to a minimum as we appreciate that you are already paying for a full term of instrumental lessons.
We feel that music theory plays a very important part in the development of your music education.
To book your time slot please go to the reception at 85 Southbury Road or send us an email: info@alltalents.co.uk with your name and preferred date/time. A member of staff will contact you with available times.
